Igor Alexandrovich Kaberov is a Hero of the Soviet Union, an honorary citizen of Veliky Novgorod. I. A. Kaberov flew 397 combat missions. In 92 air battles, he personally shot down 10 enemy aircraft and 18 in a group, rammed an I-16 at the beginning of the war. On June 24, 1943, he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for his courage and military valor shown in battles with enemies.
