Kozlov Pyotr Alekseevich - commander of a tank company of a separate Guards tank regiment of the Voronezh Front, senior lieutenant of the Guards.

He was born in 1919 in the village of Maloe Aleshkino, now Velikoluksky district, Pskov Region, in a peasant family. Russian. Secondary education. He was drafted into the army in 1939 by the Velikiye Luki District Military Commissariat. In 1941, he graduated from the Kharkiv Tank School.

During the Great Patriotic War in the active army - from August 1941.

By the fall of 1942, he fought on the Voronezh Front as a member of the 475th separate tank Battalion as a commander of a company of heavy KV tanks.

On the Voronezh Front, he participated in defensive battles on the territory of the Voronezh Region south of Voronezh.

Participated in the breakthrough of enemy defenses, the liberation of the settlements of Mikhailovsky. Petrovskaya, kolomytsevo kolomytsevo Webcam Liskinsky district of Voronezh region. In the battle for the village of Pukhovo, Liskinsky district, the tank of Pyotr Alekseevich Kozlov was hit, he himself was seriously wounded. By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of 28 April 1943 for skilled combat missions, courage and heroism in the Ostrogozhsk – Rossosh operation, Kozlov Peter Alekseevich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumously).

In a field near the village of Pukhovo on the site of the feat of P. A. Kozlov, a memorial stone with a memorial inscription is installed. In 2007, the ISU-152 self-propelled artillery system was installed there on a pedestal. In the city of Liski, a bronze bust of the Hero is installed on the Walk of Fame.
