Fadeev, Sergey Mikhailovich

He was born into a peasant family. Russian. He graduated from 5th grade. He lived and worked in the village of Aktanysh in the Aktanyshsky district of the Tatar ASSR.

In the Red Army since 1939. At the front in the Great Patriotic War since 1943.

Gunner of the 729th separate anti-tank Fighter Division (16th Tank Corps, 2nd Tank Army, Central Front), Red Army soldier.

He distinguished himself in the battles near the village of Olkhovatka (Ponyrovsky district of the Kursk region). On July 6, 1943, while repelling an enemy tank attack, he knocked out and set fire to several tanks with the calculation of a gun. He was wounded, but did not leave the battlefield. In just a few days, he destroyed 11 enemy vehicles, 5 of them heavy.

In 1944, he was demobilized due to disability.

He lived and worked in the city of Kuibyshev.
