During the Great Patriotic War in the active army - from August 1941.
By the fall of 1942, he fought on the Voronezh Front as a member of the 475th separate tank Battalion as a commander of a company of heavy KV tanks.
On the Voronezh Front, he participated in defensive battles on the territory of the Voronezh Region south of Voronezh.
Participated in the breakthrough of enemy defenses, the liberation of the settlements of Mikhailovsky. Petrovskaya, kolomytsevo kolomytsevo Webcam Liskinsky district of Voronezh region. In the battle for the village of Pukhovo, Liskinsky district, the tank of Pyotr Alekseevich Kozlov was hit, he himself was seriously wounded.
