Sveschnikov Vasilij Yakovlevich (August 13, 1911 - May 8, 2002) - veteran of the Great Patriotic War.

He fought in the 4th Kuban Cavalry Corps under the command of Lieutenant General Kirichenko. He participated in raids on the rear of the Nazis, destroying their headquarters, garrisons and warehouses. He was seriously wounded in the battles for the liberation of Donbass.

He was awarded with medals and the Order of the Badge of Honor. He is an honorary citizen of the village of Kirpilskaya, Krasnodar Territory.
